Dragonflies and damselflies are faced with many changes to their environment.
The biggest threat to their populations is man's alteration of habitats through
development, agriculture, pollution and water misuse. Since dragonflies spend
most of their life underwater, they are especially sensitive to water-related issues.
We've grouped the threats into somewhat arbitrary sections.
The solution to all these problems is complex and is certainly beyond the scope
of this website. Click on the radio buttons above to read through the threats
and possible solutions for each of these areas.
